This is a photograph of Mario Andretti in the Las Vegas Grand Prix, where Travis and I were in the driver’s meeting before the race, somehow….
After the drivers pre-race meeting we went to our seats, which is the location I went out onto the race course to set up my tripod right off of the asphalt, letting the cars drive into the shot.
That’s how I got this shot of Mario Andretti during the race. He was competing for the championship, and I believe he eventually won the Indy Car title that year.
